Relationships and Marriage Relationships and marriages require work, and challenges--both small and large--are bound to arise. My work focuses on helping couples learn repair strategies to heal damage in the relationship and move toward healthier communication and mutual understanding.
Work Related Stress I help my clients deal more effectively with work related issues and mental health strains caused by workplace stress such as anxiety, sleep deprivation, irritability, low self-esteem and more.
Life Transitions Change is a part of life, but can often cause stress, even when positive. I offer counseling for major life changes such as divorce and separation, births, new jobs, loss of spouse, retirement and more.
Adolescents Adolescense and young adulthood is a challenging time with social, family, school stress and pressures. I take an active approach to teach clients more effective coping during this sometimes difficult phase of life.
Stress Reduction Whether dealing with symptoms of depression or anxiety when we are in a state of hyperarousal or stress overload, we are not able to access the part of our brain that helps us solve problems and make healthier decisions. With mindfulness based stress reduction techniques we can learn to dial down our reactions and learn to be more present and learn to be more self compassionate.
